I don't know about things like this. Even if it didn't cost money to enter and even if they didn't call it Sweden's official prize (which is, I admit, pretty entertaining).
In other news, am I the only one who have seen a blogger community where a group of Big Bloggers decided everything in said community, and everyone else were just too afraid to disagree with the Big Bloggers because they didn't want to be thrown out of the comunity, so in the end, if it hadn't been for anonymous commenting, a community of houndreds of people would have been ruled by just a few bloggers.
I love blogs, because they moderate themselves. It's not a closed forum where a moderator or a group of moderators usually decide what should be discussed or not. With blogs, if someone writes stupid things in his/her public blog usually someone else will go over and comment in said blog and tell that someone just how much they suck, so you automatically get two sides of every issue, and if the blogger who wrote the stupid entry then delete the comments that disagree with them (usually on the premise that they are "rude" - well, it's the Internet, how much sophistication can you expect?), the people who commented will just put a link to the stupid entry in their own blog and write "this person sucks", and...so, see, we can moderate each other. Right? Of course, it's easier if we allow anonymous commenting and remember our zen place whenever someone is being a bitch.
Of course, there are a few rules you have to follow if you belong to an Internet community: 1] you don't publish a person's real name,
ever and 2] you never try to contact anyone in real life without permission. Also, no death threats. Don't be that person.
Anyway, being much less preachy now, I have to think about how I'm gonna pack for my flight tomorrow since I'm not gonna be allowed to bring any handluggage with me. Can't believe my 4 weeks in London are over and tomorrow I'm going back to stupid Sweden again. I already miss channel four and the GAP and pain au chocolate and wine at noon and purely pressed raspberry pomegrade pineapple juice and black cabs and dlr and boots and pret and waitrose (where there's a wine bar IN THE STORE) oyster cards and vacation and no work.
